Welcome to the new LPZ-website. On this website you can find information on the National Survey of Care Indicators (LPZ)

Maastricht University’s Department of Health Services Research carries out intensive research into the prevalence of care issues.The National Survey of Care Indicators (in Dutch LPZ) is one of them.

The LPZ program currently investigates the prevalence of 5 quality of care indicators which can be measured 2 times per year.

The following indicators are available:

  1. Pressure ulcer
  2. Incontinence
  3. Malnutrition
  4. Falls
  5. Restraints

As well as other European countries the National Measurement of Care Indicators (in Dutch LPZ) is now also available in New Zealand (NSCI-NZ). All types of Health Care Institutions in New Zealand are invited to participate. Care-Metric is coordinating this program for New Zealand.

Report and preliminary results of NSCI-NZ pilot 2009 and April 2010 measurement
